The lecturers at the ISTUD faculty, apart from their disciplinary competence in the specific area of interest, are experts in the use of active teaching methods, to facilitate the complex process of learning typical of persons already operating in the working world.
The training is based on the classroom setting and integrated with a series of practical methods and tools for learning and life-long learning. The approaches developed are grouped under the name of Action Methodologies and are based on certain fundamental concepts:
- significant, lasting learning is constructed by starting from personal and practical experience and therefore must be based on the virtuous cycle of thought-action-consideration;
- the learning that counts produces changes in our individual and collective identity and involves not only the cognitive level but also the emotional and ethical;
- managerial development requires the presence of others who operate both as support and as a critical mirror.
